Future Leaders in IP - development programme
A 12-month leadership development programme suitable for any post-qualification patent and trade mark attorneys. The programme will take small groups through the fundamental building blocks of leadership, such as strengths, emotional intelligence and leadership styles and translate the self-awareness you get through the programme into actionable insights in working with, managing and leading others within an IP firm.
Designed and delivered by a former patent attorney of 20+ years experience (equity partner, head of department and board member) the workshops are tailored specifically for what IP practice looks like.

All our training workshops and courses are designed and delivered by Jane Wainwright, a patent attorney of 20+ yrs experience (including as an equity partner, head of department, and board member) making our courses uniquely tailored for IP professionals based on Jane's direct experience of working in IP. ​

The training sessions and courses available for booking through this website are open group sessions. If you like the look of the content, but would prefer to work through it in a 1:1 programme instead of a group, or you would like any of them delivered for your organisation, we are happy to discuss your needs and any bespoke variations that are of interest.

Single training sessions
We offer several training sessions and workshops that cover single topics in a punchy 60 or 90 minute session. They are intended as introductions to the topic but all include a combination of taught elements and practice of skills learned during the session.

Short courses
We offer short courses of 2 or 3 sessions providing a more in depth look at some key topics. These courses may include a combination of group sessions and 1:1 coaching sessions.
The length of each group session in the course may vary, but typically they are between 90 and 120 minutes long. Where a 1:1 coaching session is included as part of the course, these are 30 minutes in length unless otherwise stated in the course description.

Some courses may include a psychometric assessment, and the cost of the assessment is included in the course price. Some assessments used offer enhanced reports, such as peer feedback or leadership-specific results. These enhanced reports are available as paid add-ons on the booking page for the course.
Where a psychometric assessment is used this will be debriefed as part of a group session, with a short 1:1 coaching session included to allow participants the opportunity to delve deeper into their assessment results.

Longer courses
We also periodically offer longer courses consisting of multiple group sessions of 2-3 hours in length. The longer courses are spread over a period of several months and are designed to provide an opportunity for broader and deeper learning, with even more emphasis on practical implementation in the workplace.

Similarly to the short courses, the long courses may include the use of psychometric assessments (included in the price) with enhanced report options (360 and leadership focus) available as add-ons for purchase on the booking page, or separately as the course progresses.
As with the short courses, the long courses may include a combination of group sessions and 1:1 coaching sessions (for additional debrief of psychometric assessments).
